I consider my boyfriend my best friend and in general have always kept guys as closer friends than girls, but I recently decided to have a girlfriend move in as my roommate and I gotta say the “girl time” is so much fun and something I’ve really missed out on in the past. Here’s to keeping strong, supportive ladies in your life!

i am a first time mom… and i am so glad that i found this website. I have been having truggles on weather or not i should go out and enjoy myself. I dont really have any good friends that i feel like i can rely on but i am not going to give up. It is definitly a start to know that there are other moms that feel the same and i am happy to know that problem can be fixed.
Well thatnk you for this website that you two amazing woman set up.

What do you do if you dont really have any girlfiends..I have alot of friends but not those kind that you tell all your junk too and laugh and cry with. My ex BFF just abandoned me after my son was born and I dont know why and my other friend I have had since college, her life is so hectic she does not make time.

I know its what I need. There are some things you just cant tell your husband and you frankly dont want to tell him..We need our girlfriends. I guess I need to figure out how to get new friends.. Finding a true authentic friend this late in the game at age 33 is hard.

I have a serious struggle with this. I desperately want to go hang out with the girls (I honestly don’t even know what we would do!) but every time I think about it guilt sets in…

…I feel like it’s somehow “not nice” to leave my hubby at home with the kids alone – who will he have to talk to or take back him up if the kids get out of hand?… but more than that I feel this pain that’s like longing for a lost limb – even if I know it is one I need to set down every now and then.

I’m working on having more time out, but so far haven’t made it more than two hours (and that managed by having that two hours being a meeting for something I like or support) unless you count the afternoon I spent with my best friend who lives out of town while hubby was at a training seminar in the same town…and that was the most time I’d spent in probably 7 years or so…

Now I’m just trying to build up to a little more each trip out. Weaning yourself from your family is hard work!! :)

    Hola Girlfriend,
What timing, I forewent a much needed eyebrow wax and bill paying night to have a lovely dinner and ya-ya time with Vanessa. She offered to bake Gabi’s Chocolate ganache birthday cup cakes together. We had a bottle of fabulous wine, lovely snacks, deep belly laughter and a few tears. It was great!!

With the constant work and business lately, I feel totally re-charged. Plus. she actually school girl dressed me in a few fabulous outfits she has slimmed out of. What a hoot. Perfect fits.

Great segments. Keep it up ladies. You are stars… Love, Mun Mun

I used to feel guilty that my favorite vacations these last few years all involved outings with my girlfriends rather than family vacations. It isn’t that I don’t love my children and my husband, but who is in charge of organizing those family trips? MOM! Who is thinking of food, schedules and every other detail when it comes to family vacations? MOM! When I go away with my girlfriends, I can relax and think about myself uninterrupted for HOURS. I can sleep in. I can stay up without worrying about how grumpy I’ll be the following morning to my children if I don’t get a good night’s rest. Having girlfriends who understand and share your need for away time makes the experience all the sweeter. Which reminds me, I’m overdue for a Moms Night Out…
