My family took a yearly drive to Florida as well…pretty sure my sisters and I drove my parents up the wall in the car though.

A couple of years ago, I took my two oldest children on a trip to Alaska. Though we didn’t drive there, we did spend two weeks traveling throughout the state in an RV. Talk about a road trip on steroids. Truthfully the best time of my life and something the kids will never forget. Years later it still comes up almost daily.

We drove from Michigan to Florida and back when I was a kid. Very long, but if you plan to make fun stops along the way it can be so worthwhile and you can see so much!

Family road trips are the best memories from childhood. Great feature, J&B!

HA! The illusive back seat border battle! I will go out on a limb and say that any siblings whom have ever had to share a back seat on a family road trip will relate to this epic brother/ sister argument over seat territory. Technology is definitely a modern gem in these situations. Too funny!

Ahhhh, I miss taking road trips. We took an awesome road trip when I was younger across the NorthWest territory staying in little roadside motels along the way. From eating beef jerky, skipping rocks and getting into general mischief, I think think back fondly on the trip and remember good times with families. I wish we had a van like that though!

Family road trips are great! I’ve gone from Orange Country to Colorado Springs with my family two summers in a row! Best trips ever!

i used to LOVE family trips. i was the middle child and dying to be away from my sisters, so i’d sit in the 3rd row seat of our station wagon, and sleep away the 8hours it took to get to the beach!
looking back, i wish we had taken more pictures and seen more sights, but i’m glad i have those memories of family.

  14. Amparo says:

I am so afraid of a road trip, my daughter is a disaster in the car! DISASTER! I think I may have to start using technology to my advantage…. Thanks Jen and Barb!
